CHS Students were supposed to return to school the CHS Students were supposed to return to school the week after what would have been Make-A-Wish week. This posed the question: what was going to happen to wish week? CHS Student Council Adviser Ryan Beardall and his wife came up with the idea of a virtual wish week. “We decided to have a virtual wish week after the big event held here for Silas Johnson. We figured it would be an opportune time since everyone's mind was focused on Silas' wish,” said Beardall. He stated that they have already received some donations this week. “We also charged an extra $5 per person at the Homecoming dance back in September, which was meant for Make-A-Wish. That came out to $2,135,” said Beardall. Whatever is raised this week will be added to the amount collected at homecoming. Pinnacle Bank has also already pledged $200. According to Beardall on average CHS raises around $3,000-$4,000. So it is likely that this year student council will raise just as much as usual, despite the recent quarantine. If students are interested in donating to Make-A-Wish there will be donation jugs around town at various businesses and people will be roaming with donation jugs during tonight's Friday Night Lights. Be sure to donate! Do not forget to dress up today in blue and gold and post with the hashtag #codywishweek. Go broncs and fillies.

As quarantine drones on, the performing arts are e As quarantine drones on, the performing arts are experiencing closures, postponements, and the unknown.

The CHS Jazz Band experienced its first shut down with the cancellation of the Greeley Jazz Festival in Greely, Colorado, and the CHS Concert Band was faced with disappointment at the cancelation of Festival in Cowley, Wyoming.
These cancellations left seniors with some of their last performances being wrenched away from them. The ever popular spring pop band concert, which is scheduled to happen in May, is currently an unknown for the CHS band. Fingers crossed, all hope to see one last performance.
The CHS Drama club’s production of Disney’s “The Little Mermaid” has also been canceled. At first, the members of the cast were hopeful that they would be able to have at least one performance in April, but on April 1st, it was announced that the show was officially closed.
As with the band, the seniors in the drama club are now left without their final high school performance. A showcase is in the works to give the lead cast members and seniors their moment in the spotlight, but a decision has not been made due to the uncertainty of this situation.
Other arts programs also experienced cancellations. The CHS choirs have their annual festival canceled, and the Art Symposium in Casper has also been canceled for those who were planning to go.

Best Songs to Listen to While Being Socially Dista Best Songs to Listen to While Being Socially Distanced
Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play Music, Youtube Music, Pandora, and Amazon Music. All of these are streaming services that provide their users with the music of all genres and from thousands of artists.
As we’re all stuck in quarantine, we look for a distraction, something to keep our minds busy, and something to listen to while we labor over our schoolwork. Looking into what students choose as their go-to quarantine song, there are genres ranging from classic pop, Korean pop, musical theatre, and modern pop. With songs like Pinball Wizard (The Who 1969), Say My Name (Ateez 2019), Rewrite the Stars (The Greatest Showman 2017), Honeybee (The Head and the Heart 2019), and Selfish (Madison Beer 2020). Students aren’t the only ones who have built their quarantine playlists, people on Spotify have turned to create their own playlists like “Quarentunes”, “Quaransteen”, “quarantine vibes”, and “Quarantine with me”. Open up your eyes to the world of music, expand your horizons. Learn to play an instrument. Let your creative juices flow, and go Broncs and Fillies.

You may also notice the difference in the warm/cool black and white overlays I used. I did this on some to portray the warmth of the home versus the chilly, seeming harshness, of the outdoors and the general public.
