CHS players excitedly huddle after Emily Larsen scored a point against rivals during the Powell game this last Tuesday.

Tuesday night at the Powell vs Cody rivalry game two out of the three Cody Volleyball teams won, in long, loud, and intense matches.
Cody Fillies Freshman team won against the Powell Panthers in a 3 match game. The first match they played they lost 19-25, their second match they won 25-17, then in their third match they won 25-11. The Cody Fillies JV team lost in a 2 match game. Their scores were 16-25, and 17-25.
The Cody Fillies Varsity team came back and won in a match of only 3 games. Their first match was 25-15, second match was 25-19, and in their third match they were down by 10 and Riley Welch helped the team come back, serving 10 balls in a row, taking the Fillies one point ahead. After that, they fought until they won with the score of 25-20.
Senior Ryan Blaylock explained how they can beat the Powell Panthers again when they play them. “We can we more mindful and stay focused every single point,” she said.
The next game for the Cody Fillies is Saturday 29th at the Cody Sweitzer Gym against Worland Freshman start at 11:00am. Junior varsity starts at 12:00pm, and the Varsity team is slated to play at 1:00pm.
